What American Voters Really Care About

"It’s the economy, stupid!” was first coined by former President Bill Clinton in 1992. What held true in the early 90s, still seems to be on top of voters minds over 20 years later. With advances in technology and a more knowledge-based economy, the very nature of jobs is changing in America and other parts of the world economy. It makes sense that the economy is a prime topic in America. 

More surprisingly, however, is that health care is the second highest concern for American people, according to a survey conducted by Pew Research Center. The Obamacare program which launched several years ago seems to be one of the more controversial topics in American politics in 2016. Terrorism follows at third place.
