A Serious Analysis of the Trump Story- Soren K. Group

Facts, Subjective Analysis, and Legal Observations Only

What a fragile, easily co-opted mess our systems of checks and balances has become. And CNN proves again it is more concerned with ratings and debasingTrump than integrity. Buzzfeed decided to capitalize on that, while other media outlets took the more responsible route. - Soren K.

Facts

  1. Yesterday CNN reported that Obama and Trump had been briefed by the Intel heads on a batch of docs circulating implicating Trump had ties to Russia
  2. CNN claimed the docs were assembled by a former British Intelligence officer
  3. David Jones of Mother Corn, reported a week before the election that similar allegations had been circulating
  4. Newsweek also made mention of it earlier
  5. The allegations are various and harsh, and journalists have been working hard to verify the info before reporting it as credible
  6. CNN's Report nudged Buzzfeed to release the underlying document itself, which many major media outlets already had but chose to exercise discretion

Observations

  1. No one has any idea if any of the allegations are true.
  2. The allegations are being taken very seriously as US Intel Agencies do not brief the executive branch on something unless they believe it has some credibility
  3. The Allegation document was included with the Russian hacking investigation by the CIA on a judgment call that it was related to that investigation
  4. The existence of these (serious and unproven) allegations has severely colored the Russian hacking investigation, motivating the likes of John McCain, Ron Wyden, and Harry Reid to ramp up pressure on the FBI and other agencies about the Russian hacking investigation.
  5. The Doc has very specific allegations which makes for a good path for investigators to verify or disprove its claims. Analysis will provide clearcut answers to its truth
  6. This is NOT the intelligence community leaking info to the public. The docs come from private sources that cobbled then together into a single report. It is not classifed
  7. By and Large the press has maintained its cool through out

Subjective Analysis

  1.  The style, substance and errors make these docs totally unlike the docs in the Russian hacking case. If the Intel community did anything wrong it was in allowing this stuff to be included in the same file as the DNC hacks. This judgment call has catalyzed the left to be more righteously indignant about the Hacking investigation
  2. Comey cannot win. He was under increasing pressure from Dem Senators to do something about these allegations which in our opinion had no business being in the same pile as the wikileaks email dumps. Those people who pressured the FBI were more interested in getting Trump than finding the source of the leaked emails. That is crap, especially since not one email has been denied as authentic by the DNC. The inclusion of the KOMPROMOT  file gave the Clinton acolytes and Trump haters something to cling to.
  3. The FBI actually did apply for a warrant from FISA Courts over the summer to monitor 4 members of Trump's team suspected in those docs of having irregular contacts with Russian officials. It took until October to get that warrant according to one report out there. We doubt if they even got the warrant anything was done with it simply on the basis of how far behind they are on even looking at the servers in hand. But that is not the focus of people looking for straws to grasp at while their own ship, the SS Clinton was sinking. The Rick Walkers wanted everyone to drop everything to pursue a report compiled by a reputable private intel investigator not to vindicate their corrupt candidate, but to prove that Trump was the less ethical one.
  4. 4Chan has made claim this was troll bait that was gobbled up and took on a life of its own. We do not doubt the possibility of this.
    • The allegations were so specific they are either right or really good bait.
    • 4Chan loves to bait fanboys like Walker. These guys invented the Rick-Roll
    • Our previous story outlines 4Chan's claims here
  5. Michael Cohen, Trump's attorney and subject of the allegations  recently denied allegations boldly offering a pic of his passport that "He was never even in Prague"
    • Note: a non-stamped passport is not proof of non-admittance to a country BTW. h/t Goldzilla

Just Saying

Many if not all the allegations may be false. But the Russian Hacking analysis is now corrupted with pressure by biased parties. More pressure will come to bear on the Intel officers, adn other doors will be opened on Trump. Something will be found probably as fallout of the report even if it is not true in any way. And that may be a good thing on some levels. But it is horrible as our Intel community is even less insulated from party bias now. And it is also bad because if something does turn up on Trump, unrelated but as a result of the broadened investigation that may come, you have "probable cause" as an excuse to invade the privacy of all on a grander scale. What a fragile, easily co-opted mess our systems of checks and balances has become. And CNN proves again it is more concerned with ratings and the Clinton's than integrity. Buzzfeed decided to capitalize on that, while other media outlets took the more responsible route.
