'I’ll keep you in suspense' - Trump on accepting the result

During Wednesday’s last presidential debate in Las Vegas, Donald Trump’s refusal to say whether he will accept the election’s outcome has sent shockwaves to many, including his supporters.

Debate moderator, Chris Wallace, stated the importance of a peaceful transition of power to American democracy, and asked Trump whether he will accept the final outcome of the presidential election, whether he wins or loses.

Trump's answer to the question was: "I will tell you at time, I'll keep you in suspense."

He alluded to the fact that he may challenge the election result if Clinton were to win, having said that election is rigged and that the media is manipulating and damaging Trump’s campaign.

Commentators and reporters went into a social media frenzy over his remark.

Even Trump supporters, where criticism is already high, were up in arms with his remarks.

Lindsey Graham released a statement asserting that Trump was “doing the party and our country a great disservice by continuing to suggest the outcome of this election is out of his hands and ‘rigged’ against him.”

Nicolle Wallace, who worked for President George W. Bush and John McCain, described Trump’s words as “a disqualifying statement” on NBC News.

Even Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, told CNN “Donald Trump will accept the results of the election because he will win the election” moments after the debate ended.
